Main Responsibilities for the successful Machine Tech:
\n
This role offers an excellent opportunity for career development, with structured training and support provided to develop your skills, enabling progression into a fully skilled Engineer position.

\n - Ensure all production processes are carried out in accordance with the company's quality standards.
\n - Ensure all products are manufactured in compliance with food safety legislation, customer requirements, and company policies.
\n - Maintain high standards of housekeeping to meet company and customer expectations.
\n - Work safely and remain fully compliant with all training, procedures, and health & safety requirements.
\n - Ensure full product traceability is maintained and accurately documented throughout the production process.
\n - Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot automated case packing robots to maximise production efficiency and minimise downtime.
\n - Carry out light engineering duties, including basic mechanical adjustments, routine maintenance, and component replacement where required.
\n - Perform first-line fault finding on automated equipment and escalate more complex issues to the Engineering team when necessary.
\n - Record machine downtime, faults, and corrective actions using the company's production reporting system (e.g. Redzone) to support continuous improvement.
\n - Support preventative maintenance activities and assist engineers during planned maintenance and equipment changeovers.
\n - Replenish consumables and packaging materials to ensure continuous production with minimal interruptions.
\n - Carry out machine start-up, product changeovers, and line set-up in accordance with production schedules.
\n - Monitor machine performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reliability, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
\n - Complete all required quality, safety, and production checks accurately and on time.
\n - Operate and maintain case end labelling equipment, including machine set-up, label verification, and label reel changes.

Main requirements for the successful Machine Tech:
\n
\n - Previous experience within a food manufacturing or FMCG environment.
\n - Mechanical or engineering knowledge, with experience of carrying out first-line maintenance and fault finding on production machinery.
\n - Experience operating automated production equipment or case packing robots is desirable.
\n - Strong understanding of Health & Safety and safe working practices within a manufacturing environment.
\n - Knowledge of preventative maintenance and the ability to identify and escalate mechanical issues appropriately.
\n - A proactive approach to problem-solving with good troubleshooting skills.
\n - Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to work effectively with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams
\n - Good verbal and written communication skills.
\n - HACCP and Allergen awareness
\n - Well organised, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet tight production deadlines
\n - A continuous improvement mindset with a focus on reducing downtime and improving machine performance.
\n - Full UK driving licence.
\n

\n - Basic salary £35,000+ overtime
\n - Monday to Friday- 14:00pm-10:00pm
